"KEY_HOLE" BLENDING SHEARS.

With regular blending teeth, uncut hair falls between the teeth and is compressed by a sharp blade, One constantly has to clear hair that has become jammed.
The hair is bruised and damaged.  In a day or two, the hair will split.  leaving the hair rough to the touch, limp & lifeless.  You the Stylist, despite your skills, will get the blame.

The 'Key-Hole" Blender has 'Y' shaped teeth and holes at the base that allow the un-cut hair to slide through ....................... un-harmed.

Both blades on TALYN Shears are concave, giving a Clean Precise cut with no splitting, bruising or damage. They leave no marks on the hair!

These Blenders are sharpened at 50 degrees, which is 4 times sharper than regular blades.
The steel on these shears is uncommonly hard as they would crumble at regular hardness.

And that's why they have a 'Lifetime Warranty'

This design took us 4 years to perfect and is another proud "TALYN" first.

"TALYNER"  THINNING SHEAR

The "TALYNER" is unique and is designed for zero damage and no marks to & on the hair.

With thinners, there is a circular motion of the blades, while closing or opening. This is not as pronounced from the middle towards the tips, but excessive near the screw and on a regular Thinner, will crunch or rip the hair and damage it.
Once hair is bruised, it will split 2 hours to 2 days later causing a "Frizz" and a "Flop" to the hair.

The teeth on the TALYNER start off straight at the tips and as they near the pivot area, they become more and more curved. This is to follow the curved movement when you open or close the blades. The teeth mesh perfectly!

The teeth on one blade are lengthened to 'comb-up' the hair and allow plenty of room for the hair to fall through without damage. The teeth on the other blade have been shortened to come in and just clip the hair, without crossing the teeth on the other blade. No Bruising!

These Thinners are sharpened at 50 degrees, which is 4 times sharper than regular blades.
The steel on these shears is uncommonly hard as they would crumble at regular hardness.

And that's why they have a 'Lifetime Warranty'

The pivot is a unique Ball-Bearing arrangement which flexes and brings the blades in precisely. Again, No Bruising!

The different uses for a Blending Shear and a Thinning Shear.

Blending Shears (One toothed blade and one solid blade) are used for blending hair and finishing.  A Blender is usually not used more than 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the tips of the hair.

Thinning Shears (Have teeth on both blades) are usually used for thinning out and reducing bulk. They can be used in longer hair.

Texturizing or Chanelling Shears have large teeth or teeth skipped or grouped in patterns and will give different design effects on the hair, depending on the layout of the teeth.

Sculpting Shears have large teeth with small gaps between. Used for regular cutting without the marks from a regular shear.
